BACKGROUND

These Terms and Conditions, together with any and all other documents referred to herein, set out the terms of use under which you may use this website, http://stsglobaleducation.co.uk/ (“Our Site”). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and ensure that you understand them. Your agreement to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Site AND/OR when you sign up for an Account (if applicable). If you do not agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you must stop using Our Site immediately.

1.1 In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:  

– “Account”: means an account required for a User to access certain areas of Our Site, as detailed in Clause 4;

– “Forum”: means a discussion forum hosted on Our Site (if applicable);  

– “Post”: means a post in a Forum on Our Site (and includes any and all content in such posts, including but not limited to comments, replies, feedback, or enquiries);  

– “System”: means any online communications infrastructure that We make available through Our Site either now or in the future. This may include, but is not limited to, contact forms, email, live chat, and Forums;  

– “User”: means a user of Our Site;  

– “We/Us/Our”: means STS Global Education, a company registered in England under Company Registration Number 12701777, whose registered address is Citygate House, 246 – 250 Romford Road, London, England, E7 9HZ, and trading address is Mezzanine floor, 246-250 Romford Road, Forest Gate, E7 9HZ. 2. Information About Us

2.1 Our Site, http://stsglobaleducation.co.uk/, is owned and operated by STS Global Education, a company registered in England under Company Registration Number 12701777, whose registered address is Citygate House, 246 – 250 Romford Road, London, England, E7 9HZ, and trading address is Mezzanine floor, 246-250 Romford Road, Forest Gate, E7 9HZ. London, UK.

2.2 We are a member of the British Council, ICEF, Trinity College London, and UCAS. 

3. Access to Our Site

3.1 Access to Our Site is free of charge.  

3.2 It is your responsibility to make any and all arrangements necessary to access Our Site.  

3.3 Access to Our Site is provided “as is” and on an “as available” basis. We may alter, suspend, or discontinue Our Site (or any part of it) at any time and without notice. We will not be liable to you in any way if Our Site (or any part of it) is unavailable at any time and for any period.

4. Accounts

4.1 Certain parts of Our Site may require an Account to access them.  

4.2 When creating an Account, the information you provide must be accurate and complete. If any of your information changes, it is your responsibility to ensure your Account is kept up-to-date.  

4.3 We recommend that you choose a strong password for your Account. If you believe your Account is being used without your permission, please contact Us immediately at [email protected]. We will not be liable for any unauthorised use of your Account.  

4.4 You must not use anyone else’s Account without their express permission.  

4.5 Any personal information provided in your Account will be collected, used, and held in accordance with your rights and Our obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR, as set out in Clause 15.  

4.6 You may close your Account at any time. Closing your Account will result in the removal of your information and access to any areas of Our Site requiring an Account.  

4.7 If you close your Account, any Posts you have made on Our Site may be deleted or anonymised by removing your username and avatar.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 All Content on Our Site (unless specifically labelled otherwise) and the copyright and other intellectual property rights subsisting in that Content belong to or have been licensed by Us. All Content is protected by applicable United Kingdom and international intellectual property laws and treaties.  

5.2 Subject to Clause 6.4, Users retain ownership of the copyright and other intellectual property rights in their Posts (unless any part of such Posts is owned by a third party who has given express permission for their material to be used).  

5.3 For personal use only, you may:  

   – Access, view, and use Our Site in a web browser;  

   – Download Our Site (or any part of it) for caching;  

   – Print one copy of any page(s) from Our Site;  

   – Download, copy, or save extracts from pages on Our Site.  

5.4 You may not use any Content (including Posts) for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence from Us, Our licensors, or the relevant User.  

5.5 You may not systematically copy Content from Our Site to create a comprehensive collection, compilation, directory, or database without Our express permission.  

5.6 You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, rent, sub-licence, store, or in any other manner re-use Content from Our Site unless given express permission.  

5.7 Our status as the owner and author of the Content on Our Site must always be acknowledged.  5.8 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes the fair dealing provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

6. Forum Posts

6.1 An Account is required to submit Posts to Our Forum(s) (if applicable).  

6.2 You agree that you are solely responsible for your Posts and that they comply with Our Acceptable Usage Policy (Clause 7).  

6.3 By submitting a Post, you grant Us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and publish your Post for the purposes of operating and promoting Our Site.  

6.4 We may remove any Posts that violate Our Acceptable Usage Policy or if We receive a valid complaint.

7. Acceptable Usage Policy

7.1 You may only use Our Site lawfully and in compliance with this Clause. Specifically, you must not:  

   – Use Our Site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;  

   – Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code;  

   – Use Our Site to harass, threaten, or harm others.  

7.2 When submitting Posts, you must not:  

   – Post sexually explicit, offensive, or inflammatory content;  

   – Promote violence or unlawful activity;  

   – Discriminate against any person or group;  

   – Infringe intellectual property rights.  

7.3 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account and/or access to Our Site if you breach this Acceptable Usage Policy.

8.1 You may link to Our Site provided you do so fairly and legally, without suggesting any association, endorsement, or approval by Us where none exists.  

8.2 You may not link to Our Site from any site containing offensive, unlawful, or harmful content.
